You will loose Google Ranking!!!!!!
Beginning April 21st, Google will activate its new algorithm...
This will favor responsive sites over all others, giving them a better search rank. Visitors (and search engines) want sites that are friendly to use on small screens. Sites that require ‘pinch & zoom’ to access the content will soon find themselves in the unfavored spots of the web…
A mobile-responsive design improves more than user experience–now it helps improve search engine ranking, too.
“Around 60% of all online traffic now comes from mobile devices and tablets”.
This fact alone should convince you that a responsive website is the way to go to in order to increase your visibility leading to more interest and conversions.
Should you need further persuasion, the latest news from Google may be just that!
As of the 21st April, Google are now expanding their use of mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal
This will make mobile browsing easier with more relevant search results that are both of a better quality and optimized for the user.
This can have a huge impact to those without responsive sites considering the percentage of online traffic coming from mobile and tablet devices.
But What does responsive mean?
A responsive website will optimise the viewing experience for a reader by reducing the need to resize, zoom and scroll unnecessarily.
This applies in the majority to mobile devices, but an unresponsive site can also dramatically impair observation for tablet users. This makes the user more likely to hastily leave your page impacting on your bounce rate and rankings.
Having a responsive design has always been important but now more than ever it is a crucial aspect to ensure you are a success online.
